Stryker's POV
When overtime for me became stressing for a police officer like me, I took sips of coffee to avoid drowsiness. Unfortunately, it didn't work as my eyes turned red, I had dark circles, and I felt like a zombie risen from the dead. Constantly, I went to sleep after hours of research, a mighty fall. A wraith roams in and enters through my dreams. I dreamt a better dream here on the street all normal again with my good friend Kabal, yet I found out the special forces cooked something special me since I'm a former marine. I was at the deacon police station where my days as enforcer and hero went well because I cleaned up any criminal activity from town. The skies I see we're really clear until a storm came and the city is under siege as the outworlders. My partner Kabal and I scrutinized downtown, yet I knew the town is in danger because of nether-realm's corruption.
"Another one of my nightmares." I scoffed. "Kabal, call it in."
"Here we go again. You read my mind." Kabal smiled, "eagle-2 the town is under siege, repeat the town is under siege."
"Come on, we're going street hunting again." I said.
Kabal got in to the police car and I started the engine. I pushed the brake and pulled the lever to forward. I drove two blocks away from the city to warn suburbans that the forces of evil terrorize the town. The sky turns dark and stormy still.
"Now, where are we?" I asked Kabal.
"We're at Elm Street." Kabal answered as he gazed into the people screaming for their lives.
"Why are these people running?" I asked him again.
"I don't know, but we should not be here!" Kabal exclaimed.
"Don't tell you're afraid of going in there! We're police officers and we're brave enough to go on these dangerous areas." I scoffed as I exit the car. "I'll prove it to you." I analyzed any special effects like Cage use to call it to prove it was a misunderstanding, "See, it's all just a misunderstanding."
"Ok? But look at that house." Kabal said.
"I know it's creepy but stop being a scaredy cat and come with me." I scoffed as I dragged him outside. "I sense something...something evil..."
Thats the sneak peek of chapter 9 I'm writing.
